Slab For Garage

Things are coming along quite nicely at our home. Fritz poured the slab for his shop last week. He works so hard every day at work, and then comes home and works until 10 or 11 every night. It is exciting and amazing to see the changes that have taken place on our home! We are all (especially Fritz) looking forward to the completion!!

Business Is Good!!

For those of you who don't know, the scrapbook store here is now closed, she went out of business. I bought here 8 large display racks and 260 clear plastic paper trays. I have been very busy the last 6 weeks ordering new product, pricing it and making re-order tags. It has been alot of fun buying all this new stuff. So, my business has expanded yet again! It is scary and exciting all at once. I have had all 3 girls here helping me. We got the rest of our display racks and paper trays on Friday, and we got busy. We worked until 7 pm Friday and Saturday, and had help from Jennifer and Octavia. It looks so good!! My store is full and it feels great! It is my 7 year anniversary on JUly 21, can you believe it's been that long?? I plan on having a HUGE sale and getting the word out that I am now the scrapbook store too!!

Girls Birthday Party

We actually went to Grand Junction on Saturday (Jaimie's Birthday) and went shopping and out to Red Lobster for dinner (YUMMY) and spent the night. The girls and Fritz enjoyed the pool & hot tub. We came home sunday morning, then had a family party for them. We ate Taco Salad, and yummy cake and ice cream. Jessica is now 19 and Jaimie is 16, can't believe how time flies!

ROCK BAND!!

The night before Jessica's birthday, Fritz decided we should give her her present early, so we did. It was Rock Band, and she loved it!! We had a great time rocking on all night. Fritz even got in the action and sang. (didn't get a picture of that though). The rest of us took turns trying out all the instruments and singing, we think it ROCKS!

Fishing

Fritz took the kids fishing twice while Amy was here. The first time they went, there was a bear right by Grandpa around the lake. It was a little scary!! But, the kids thought it was neat to see the bear. The only one to catch a fish was Fritz the first night they went, then Jayden was the only one to catch one the second time, but they had fun!

Father's Day Hike

I guess this year, we were into hikes...Amy and her kids arrived on Friday, so they went on our hike with us. It was a perfect day, and a good hike. The view was great where we stopped, and we were able to get some good pictures. We have a lot more, but I just chose a few I liked best!! Happy Father's Day Fritz!!

Mother's Day Hike

After church, we headed up to our favorite spot above Foy Lake and had a picnic. We roasted weiners, then we went on a hike. It was a beautiful day, and I was so pleased to spend Mother's day with my family. We all wished Jessica could have been with us too!!

Birthday kids!

Brad & Jordan had their birthdays on May 2nd. I know I am slow. I think May is worse than December for me at the store. It is CRAZY! Jordan turned 9 and Brad turned 21. We had a family party and had Navajo Tacos. It was so yummy and a lot of fun!!!!!! Thanks to all who came and gave the kids a gift or sent gifts, we appreciate you!

puppy update

The puppies are 3 weeks old today. They are so big allready!! And they are cute, their bark makes Jordan giggle. We hope we an find good homes for all of them when it's time!! Ashley has been a really good momma dog, especially since this is her first liter.

There are 2 more, but we didn't get them all out of the dog house this time.

Ashley's Puppies

On April 28th, when we came home from work, we discovered Ashley had been a busy girl. She had given birth to 5 puppies so far, but one died. We weren't sure if she was done. The next morning, Brad checked on her and realized she had one more, but at lunch time, when Ashley got out of the doghouse, he realized she had actually had 2 more, so she gave birth to 7 puppies, and we ended up with 6. There are 5 black ones, and one the same color as Ashley. They look good and are really cute, we will try to take more pictures as they get a little bigger.

field trip

We had so much fun on Jordan's fieldtrip. We went to Hovenweep National Monument. It was purely an educational fieldtrip. We learned about the Indians that lived in that area 1000 years ago. The children got to have hands on experience with all the things they learned about. They taught them about building fires, using primitive tools, including grinding corn, and each child got to try that. They learned what they ate, and how they grew gardens. They also learned how they hunted and got to throw a spear off an adalade. We hiked down into the canyon, and had to go through 2 rocks that are like skinny man's cave on the red hill, but not quite as tight. (almost though). I am sure glad she invited me to go!!
